Downloading games to SD Card and playing on SPV

Can someone help me. I want to download a game onto a SD Card then play it on my SPV. What do I need to do ? Thanks.

you need activsync... then just copy it across from your pc to you fone

if the game has a .cab file to install it, you can run this cab file using the any of the file explorers, see www.monolithix.org for a free one.

If the game is a commercial one, the .exe file should run on your pc, and it will copy the game to the location you specify during the install.

If there is no .cab file, you will need to create a shortcut (right click on the file.. create shortcut) and then copy this shortcut to IPSM/WINDOWS/START MENU

then it should appear on the program menu on the phone (a reboot or visiting any folder in the program menu will make it appear)

the game will likely be in a zip

open the zip and there will be one of two things

1. .cab file

if this is the case use windows explorer to copy it to the start menu

IPSMWindowsStart Menu

you then have to run the cab file. you will find it under the programs menu on the phone itself.

2. there will be a .exe file and prop a couple more.

in this case extract all the files, then copy them to the storage card then create a short cut from the exe to the start menu

Thanks for your replies, but I must be thick. I have downloaded the game (Links Golf) and put it in a folder called games on my SD Card. There are 3 zip files and 3 .ini files. What do I do next ? As you can tell I am a complete novice. Thanks

where did you download from?

that should be an exe file you just run on your pc when you are connected you your phone using active sync
