Golden Crater have released a FREE Home Screen Install Utility, the idea being you BUY some of their homescreens

It's available from Smartphone.net or from Golden Crater

Here's what they say:-

1) Download and install our free Home Screen Install utility. When you run this utility on your phone, it will search out and list all uninstalled home screens ".hme".

2a) Copy the ".hme" file across to the SmartPhone. Place the ".hme" file in IPSMMy Documents of your Smartphone

2b) Using the Home Screen Install on your phone, select the .hme file you wish to install.

Everything will be installed and your home screen should be active immediately.

UNINSTALLING

On your Smartphone, go to...

"Programs >> Settings >> More >> Remove Programs"

and choose the Skin you want to remove!

Er what a waste of time and space

It's easier just to copy the .hme to the Start Menu and click it.

the util is for the average end user who doesn't know how to install to their start menu and don't have a file manager. like my mother.

the signed bit is for users who don't have an unlocked phone.

It does cost to sign an app. they're reclaiming the cost through adverts. you can still use the app for any home screen. (kind of like this site with it's advert to dat group  )

the hme screens they sell aren't signed.

yeah, the program doesn't do much.. guess that's why they made it free.
