Guest funkmaster Posted June 19, 2003 Report Posted June 19, 2003 Im going touring Europe this summer on the trains.. shud be fun was gona take an O2 Pay as you go, but its bloody expensive.. O seems to be much cheaper: 70p a min to call, 30p a min to recieve, 20-40p a sms, and 40p a MMS - quite reasonable (apart from GPRS at £10/mb!) However I then have to decide if I should take my SL45i or my SPV (to play games on the trains, read books, and take photos).. When I asked the guy at O (who was very nice.. read below!) if my insurance was valid (like if a get mugged by a dude who aint never seen a colour screen mobile!, or if i simply have too much fun in Amsterdam , and drop it). His reply didnt fill me wif confidence to be honest.. he didnt sound sure.. all he sed was if i didnt play football wif it or anything that would be braking the terms then its cool - but what are the terms?! If i loose it in Europe somewhere - am i covered? If i get robbed, am i insured? Also, wot am i covered for in general? (e.g. droppin it, etc) ...oo yeh, the guy at orange.. very nice - was havin a chat to me and he asked where i was going for my first stop.. i said Amsterdam (of course!) and to which his reply, "you'll enjoy the coffee shops!".. Hope you guys can help

Guest clivewilliams Posted June 20, 2003 Report Posted June 20, 2003 Amusingly, apparently it *doesn't* cover accessories (I queried it on a dodgy carry case). So look after the camera.... or that'll be £99.99, sir. A less than impressive attitude.
Guest broeren79 Posted June 20, 2003 Report Posted June 20, 2003 you'll definatly enjoy Amsterdam.... I live nearby, need some adresses?? further... your insurance covers the same in foreign countries as it would at home.... theft, certain forms of damage.... you name it....
