Guest broeren79 Posted June 21, 2003 Report Posted June 21, 2003 sounds nice. can´t wait to try. hopefully it uses the sd-card to buuild it´s database on.
Guest 12speed Posted June 21, 2003 Report Posted June 21, 2003 :D i have been waiting for this for a long time.........should have been a standard feature from the start....like bluetooth.....but i still love my phone ....
Guest Trancedancer Posted June 22, 2003 Report Posted June 22, 2003 I agree, voice-dial should have been standard from the beginning! But I also still love my phone! =D But I am REALLY looking forward to the release that will work on our Smartphones! I'll get the program as soon as it's out! *HENRIK* PS. I hope that somebody can post it here when it's out, so we all get to know it! ;-) DS.
Guest JRMGolem Posted July 2, 2003 Report Posted July 2, 2003 Everytime I try to install Fonix VoiceDial on my SPV I get the same message... 'unable to install to this location' ...I have a 256mb SD card that has been freshly installed and formatted (TWICE). I have unlocked my phone after hard resetting it (THRICE).. what next??? Evrything else works perfectly and even Fonix programs will install to the SD Card. What am I missing here.
Guest fozzie Posted July 3, 2003 Report Posted July 3, 2003 Everytime I try to install Fonix VoiceDial on my SPV I get the same message... 'unable to install to this location' ...... What am I missing here. The fact that the current version (despite what it says on the website) does not support the Smartphone!! I emailed them a few days ago and they admitted that the website was a bit confusing. The Smartphone version should be available 'soon'!
Guest 12speed Posted July 3, 2003 Report Posted July 3, 2003 i hate it when they make a press statement and then you have to wait for months for it to come out.......i hope it is as good for the smartphone as it is for the other devices i have read some reviews and it is the dogs :)
Guest Mesh121 Posted July 3, 2003 Report Posted July 3, 2003 u can sign up for it on the orange trials site
Guest fozzie Posted July 3, 2003 Report Posted July 3, 2003 errrm, no, that's something completely different. We're talking here about a software application from Fonix.
Guest fozzie Posted July 3, 2003 Report Posted July 3, 2003 Yeah thanks for that, but that thread is here. This is one is about the Fonix software.
Guest Machineman Posted July 4, 2003 Report Posted July 4, 2003 I got a e-mail from fonix today which says that they try to launch an beta asap and maybe the software will be for sale within 3 till 4 weeks but..... just maybe. CU m8's
Guest tbrose Posted July 4, 2003 Report Posted July 4, 2003 I tried this app on the Qtek 1010 about a month ago - it's really cool! Can't wait for it to come for the SPV!
Guest kl1wdr Posted July 6, 2003 Report Posted July 6, 2003 I got a beta version on my SPV but I does not seem to work properly...;) The app is completely directed through voice commands...this means for example that you have to say "quit" or "goodbye" to exit the application... At the moment it does only support english spoken voice commands but althought I do normaly have no problems with the english language it does not do what I want it to do... But it will be nice if it works in the final version....then you could really have a conversation with your phone... :)
Guest Machineman Posted July 15, 2003 Report Posted July 15, 2003 Hi, I got the beta version of the smartphone version from Fonix. Works nice with the numer dialing but with names ................ No I'm not so ethousiastic as before. The number dialilng is great!!!! But for the names it is not so good as I thought. Maybe because I'm dutch and so are the names. :?: :!:  As I call the names it start to call an other name. I tried that a lot of times and suceed just 2 times. So I would advise to download first the trial befor buying, to see if it really is what you expect from it. Because for me the most important is the name dailing. CU M8's
Guest 12speed Posted July 17, 2003 Report Posted July 17, 2003 where or how did you get the beta......and will it be on general release.... we are all eager to get our hands on it and the more feed back they get the better.........all who say I..... :)
Guest MoRFLeZ Posted July 17, 2003 Report Posted July 17, 2003 Well I'm Danish and even when I add English names - and hollar them out with my puuuurrrfect accent, it still wants to call the same 3-4 people! So either I mumble or it's just durn silly! Have to agree, the number dialing is great .. and I like saying goodbye and quit to my phone!
Guest JRC Posted July 17, 2003 Report Posted July 17, 2003 Where is this beta version ? When the finale version out ?
Guest MoRFLeZ Posted July 17, 2003 Report Posted July 17, 2003 Well I'm fairly sure the full version will be up today ( http://www.fonix.com/ ) - couldn't find it right now tho! As for the beta version .. it was only for beta testers =)

Guest 12speed Posted July 17, 2003 Report Posted July 17, 2003 ok...i have the trial version and my findings are.........for saying a number it seems v-good ,but for names it seems a bit suspect but this is only with 15mins of messing about..................i have yet to try it with headphones which for me will be when i use it the most ie driving.... ....trial is a 30 day one so plenty of time to see how good it is.....
