can't get spv to vibrate

hi can't get the phone to vibrate in any profile, and that's with vibrate only or vibrate and ring selected, it rings, but doesn't vibrate at all

any ideas? thanks

there is a test tool around that you can test it with mate.. cant think of the name of it. . . .

It's called Orneta Tester .. you can get it at Orneta's site (duh me)!

Ya can test if you vibration works, if not, you should probably go get a replacement!

thanks for that, I tried it and it doesn't work, but the sound test in orneta doesn't work either, vibration used to work until I changed the SIM

after a hard reset this still doesn't work, tried changing the registry settings

any idea on how I can open the phone and check the vibrator?

Checked out the dismantling of the SPV but what part vibrates the phone.

Excuse if its obvious but I'm a but of a techno dunce :oops:

hmmm ... I'm not sure if you're not best off getting it replaced, I've not tried taking mine apart so couldn't say whether it's that easy to do without leaving any sign that it's been done ... if you find it's an actual hardware fault you don't really want orange refusing to fix it because it's been taken to bits :roll:

True, but I got mine off a friend (well now ex-friend) second-hand so I can't get orange to replace it.
