unblock SPV with vodafone sim

I am trying to unblock my SPV so that I can use all software. I only have a vodafone sim so I presume I can't use the Orange site. I have the latest Orange update installed and have gone through the procedure shown on other sites for unblocking and the mxip_oem_10 file now even reads correct, but I'm still blocked. The original mxip_oem_10 file I amended reads differently to that shown on in the unblocking instructions. Does this matter. Can anyone help me. Please
