Guest the_duffer1 Posted June 21, 2003 Report Posted June 21, 2003 I am having problems in terms of using my Orange SPV as the phone does not come on, i rang up orange and they said that the battery may be dead and the phone circuit may be gone. Can someone please tell me anyway i can get help in fixing the phone as i have lost the reciept and can not get it fixed by orange. Could someone please tell me any possible way of getting help and fixing the problem. Just to clerify the circuit has a gone of the phone and the battery is also dead because of a useless charger that was the cause of it and would be greatful if any one could be feedback. Thanks
Guest broeren79 Posted June 21, 2003 Report Posted June 21, 2003 if the phone is completely dead there is a problem... if the phone is just in a "coma" there must be some special manufacturer's menu where one can find the production date, which will help you get your warranty. Also, the orange shop where you bought your phone must be able to pull your contract/receipt from it's database... so going back to the shop might be an answer
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted June 21, 2003 Report Posted June 21, 2003 If you bought the phone from Orange they will have your details the phones details etc so a reciept would not be relevent. So give Orange a call, the only downfall is unless you have Orange Care the phone would need to be sent off for repair. One question, what do you mean by phone and the battery is also dead because of a useless charger that was the cause of it Were you trying to use a non standard charger?
Guest the_duffer1 Posted June 22, 2003 Report Posted June 22, 2003 thanks for replying the charger was standard but was a travel charger that was not officialy released by orange. I went to one of the orange shops because the one were i bought it from was far. The retiler i went to said, that they would repair the phone if i had the reciept and would also replace the battery which also seems to have gone. So what should i say to them. Thanks
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted June 22, 2003 Report Posted June 22, 2003 Give them the phone and askl them to check their records as they will have your details and that of the phone already. So if you can prove your ID then there should not be a problem
