deleted messages from inbox when syncing

Hi, when I delete a email message on SPV then sync it deletes it also off my desktop PC which I don't want

I read in the manual that if you empty the deleted folder on the SPV before syncing then the messages would not get deleted off the PC and a new resync would occur, this is not happeneing

Even when I empty the deleted folder on SPV the email message gets deleted on my PC

pls help I've lost a few important emails to this

Not too sure if there is a solution to this, and I'd love to know if there is one too!

I don't read my mail from Outlook, but rather get it by directly connecting to me POP3 box from the phone. Much to my horror, even deleting just downloaded headers (my settings get the first 500 bytes of my messages, and I only mark the interesting ones for full download) still deleted the entire message out of my inbox!

I've tried to have a look in most of the likely-looking menu options, but the usual "keep messages on server" checkbox as found on most POP3 clients doesn't seem to be available. As a result, I'm now much more careful about which messages I keep and delete - which is really annoying as the phone should provide me with the option to adapt its behaviour to do what *I* want it to, not the other way round! (Ahem, I'll stop ranting and get off my HCI soapbox now :wink: ).
