Attention all mods!!

Hello all, I'm trying to access the link on the attachement rules for Allowed Extensions and Sizes, but the link is dead. can someone tell me which extensions are allowed and while we're at it, is there anyway i can download a zip file straight to the phone?

Not sure about a full list, but cab's and zip's both work.

To use zips on your phone install the latest SmartExplorer (works great :lol:)

pics, zip, cab are allowed AFAIK.

Another alternative way to enable zip downloads is izip. Click the link in my sig.

Though it is still advisable to install latest SmartExplorer - it rocks!

I have the latest smart explorer but unless I'm missing something, it only allows me to zip/unzip files that are already on my phone. When I click on a zip file to download from the net I get the "this file can not be viewed on this device " error. Am i doing something wrong. sorry to be a pain.

Try izip then and see how that works! It only tweaks one parameter, so can be removed any time with no probs

- If it does not work at all (Phone problem) - you get 'Unknown file....' error

- If it is server side problem - then it starts loading it as a webpage with loads of gibberish.. Just like it happens to cabs sometimes.
