Guest Steve H Posted June 24, 2003 Report Posted June 24, 2003 tell me i am being thick but all the sugested tweaks to get ringtones onto my sd card and none of them seem to work for me. Can any one tell me how to do it in PLAIN ENGLISH (if anyone remembers that ancient language)
Guest martin Posted June 24, 2003 Report Posted June 24, 2003 Steve This is the extract from tweaks that you should be following. Is the WAV file valid - does it play when selected from smartexplorer? Where on the SD card have you put the WAV file and what path/filename did you enter into the value data for ringtone0 sound ? Open the registry editor: HKEY_CURRENT_USERControlPanelSoundsRingTone0 Select 'Values' And modify 'Script' by removing the w3 (eg. change 'av0pw3r' to 'av0pr') And thats all there is too it Ringtones on SD/MMC Card Open the registry editor: HKEY_CURRENT_USERControlPanelSoundsRingTone0 Select 'Values' Select 'Sound' and change the Value Data: Storage Cardpath to wavwavname (eg. Storage CardRingtonesmyringer.wav) Just remember not to delete the ringtone off the storage card, cos otherwise the ringer will default back to a boring midi again.
