i tried to beam a jpg file to the Panasonic GD87 and the phone wouldn't recieve the file, now i tried the same thing to a P800 and to a SE T610 which both recieved the file fine. I also tried it using a T610 to the GD87 and that worked fine too.

I tried numerous times to send to the Panasonic but with no luck, anyone knows why this happens?

P.S.I tried it to a Nokia 6100 but that didn't work either but then again i tried sending from the Panasonic to the Nokia and it didn't work, so i think its just the phone

Phones differ in their support for file types and sizes.

All the phones you mentioned will handle bigger files and more file types than the Panasonic. About 35-40kb max for the Panasonic to 100kb for the P800. There are also network constraints, if possible run the tests from the same set of SIM's.

in response to Tyrant_Worm, i don't think it is the file size handling, because i sent the same picture to the T610 and from the T610 to the GD87, and then it worked. I'm guessing it may have something to do with the phones not 'reading' each other, if that makes sense' but in saying that ithe GD87 recieved a business card from the SPV, so i dunno.

I'll try the sim card thing, but again i'm wondering how does a network constraint affect a phones function such as infra-red, which is not a service, but a feature, but i'll try

and to 'Brody', i'm pretty sure the mms will work, its just that, why send an mms when the person is right next to you, so i didn't bother do it that way, but thanks for the suggestion.
