Hi looking for possible solutions for texting. Problem is when i'm texting i sometimes want to send my text to a different number under the same name of the person.

Now when the phone comes up with the option to send your message to either an email or a mobile number, is it not possible to make the phone bring up all the numbers stored under a particular name whether it is a house number or a fax number etc

Since nowadays people tend to have more than one mobile number so i put their extra numbers in the house or fax number fields.

Is it possible to do a registry mod to have this sorted? Can anyone help?

AFAIK if you enter the second mobile number from PC Outlook under 'Mobile 2' it syncs it just fine.

Otherwise people use a solution of having 2 contacts for same person

ok cool never realised that, how many mobile numbers can you store and what version of outlook do you need

I think it's just mobile and mobile2. Outlook 2000, XP

Hmmm don't have mobile2 (or whatnot!)

Was actually wondering the same! But of course I could use the second method with an extra contact...

Ok, I give up! Where's the mobile 2 section in outlook? Can't find it anywhere!

MY BAD!

I read in a post (some time ago) that there IS mobile2 field, but having checked (and I have Outlook @ home only, so a bit late here) I can say I did NOT find it (Outlook XP). Appologies

The simple answers are often the best! :)

Although quite a lot of my contacts have multiple email addresses, this will work! ;)

Just found another work around, not as good as using the email address though ;)

It doesn't matter where you put the other persons mobile number, whether in work, home or anywhere, if they text you, their mobile number will come up (or their name) and if you keep it in your inbox you'll be able to reply to that number without having to input it!

Does that make sense? :)
