Guest mrmarcellos Posted June 26, 2003 Report Posted June 26, 2003 Is it possible to get a ROADMAP or some in the SPV so you can use it like GPRS or some... who can tell me
Guest madu Posted June 26, 2003 Report Posted June 26, 2003 See Tube London Pro in software catalogue. No GPS possible AFAIK. Via GPRS see streetmap.co.uk and streetmole.co.uk
Guest mrmarcellos Posted June 26, 2003 Report Posted June 26, 2003 is this also for belgium or holland?
Guest madu Posted June 26, 2003 Report Posted June 26, 2003 Tube - no streetmole - no streetmap - maybe try mappoint from microsoft
Guest Blakey Posted June 27, 2003 Report Posted June 27, 2003 How does streetmap work on a smartphone? Do you just use the main site? Is that actually useable on a tiny phone display - I'm looking at it on my desktop now and the map size is HUGE! :?: Thanks Blakey
Guest spacemonkey Posted June 27, 2003 Report Posted June 27, 2003 I was told by the streetmap.co.uk people at Mobile Life that it covered Europe and the UK. It sounded like they were releasing a sit on your PC version and the license for this would allow you to use it on your portable devices too, but they weren't too specific about the technology or anything. I should investigate it sometime :)
Guest madu Posted June 27, 2003 Report Posted June 27, 2003 It works. It shows map in 9 separate pictures which you can view kinda 1 by 1 and they fit fine on SPV screen. And though it takes a little while to load it is still a reasonable workaround... they were planning to release an spv version of StreetMap but so far no signs...
Guest Blakey Posted June 27, 2003 Report Posted June 27, 2003 So you just access www.smartphone.co.uk over GPRS on Pocket IE? (I don't have a smartphone yet - holding out for the Tanager - so I can't test this out myself, sorry. :? ) Thanks Blakey
