Mmmmm, what about mapping a drive from XP to it then backing up using a normal tool , Anyone know how to assign a drive letter to it ?

i've got a 'nice' simple app here that copies all the phone files (which can be copied) onto a directory in the pc..

If you think there is a need for it, i'll finish the front end?

hence why i test the 'need'.. before i polish it up, planning to add it into a suite of utilities I'm playing with.

Unfortunately you can't mount the SPV in the same way that you can mount a normal external hard disk, so you can't assign a drive letter to it.

Any program used to back up the SPV would need to be specifically written for the SPV (or possibly Win CE).

If your app would be a “one click” backup for the SPV it sounds like it’s worth doing!

Also (maybe I should PM this :)) I noticed you posted about using RAPI with Delphi (in Jan I think) – any pointers you could give me? I’ve got an idea for a program and I just need to work out how to copy files to the phone. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
