Guest united Posted June 27, 2003 Report Posted June 27, 2003 hiya had my spv for about a week now and im well impressed but i was wondering if there are any freeware gprs programs to tell me how many mb's ive used up?? thanks united
Guest Palindrome Posted June 27, 2003 Report Posted June 27, 2003 I don't think there are any free counters out there, but I would love to be proved wrong.
Guest Brody Posted June 27, 2003 Report Posted June 27, 2003 Nope, none available  Fingers crossed when Orange finally stop the GPRS Promotional Pack it'll be because they're introducing a GPRS counter, perhaps i'm too optimistic!
Guest Palindrome Posted June 27, 2003 Report Posted June 27, 2003 It would be against Orange's finacial intrests to include a GPRS counter. But you never know. I'd prefer to be opimistic as well though I'm sure there's gonna be tears before betime.
Guest Blakey Posted June 27, 2003 Report Posted June 27, 2003 I see All Locations have one for about a tenner (UK Sterling) No idea how good it is - it's on Handango... Blakey
Guest Gorskar Posted June 28, 2003 Report Posted June 28, 2003 I'm not convinced it is in Oranges best interests to not include a GPRS cost tracker because anyone like me whos even vaugly cautious will then pretty much cease to use it altogether out of fear of a massive unknown bill.
Guest united Posted June 29, 2003 Report Posted June 29, 2003 ive only just upgraded to an spv and have just found out that the shop didnt ask for the three month access pack so now im going to have to wait for my next bill so that orange can sort it out. great!!!
Guest mattscholey Posted October 12, 2003 Report Posted October 12, 2003 I agree totally with Gorskar. I have finally ceased all GPRS usage on my phone because of the cost. I'd love to use it, and I'd spend quite a bit (£20 a month i mean), but £20 a month is all I can afford to spend on it, and I just won't use it until I can control how much I spend. (Yes i know £20 a month is a lot of MB's, and a lot of webpages, but I'd really want to use internet radio, and microsoft portrait, which use a lot of MB's in a short time). Matt
