ie page counter app - possible?

With the upcoming demise of unlimited gprs and the fact that O do not provide a gprs counter is it possible to make an app that would keep a record of the number of pages you have downloaded via gprs?

I am not prepared to pay $15 for the only gprs counter available when it should be part of the software on the spv. :evil: :evil:

I know that if such an app were possible it would not an exact record of the data we have downloaded but it would give us a rough idea.

If it is possible could one of you clever developers on MoDaCo please make it?

If this is a totally stupid idea please tell me.
