Guest darant Posted June 28, 2003 Report Posted June 28, 2003 Orange OTA Decert Well, as many of you are having problems with the OTA decert process I thought I'd give good old Orange a call to ask why the process fails to work. I was told....... Sorry Sir, The process is for developers ONLY. I explained that my details were already submitted the other week when I origanally decerted. I was again told that the site was not for public viewing. Then I was told...... Any way, The development site is nothing to do with Orange. Directly!!! Strange that?????
Guest Monolithix [MVP] Posted June 28, 2003 Report Posted June 28, 2003 The developers website is run by "Orange Group", as apposed to "Orange UK" mobile carrier. Also, they are completely correct and have full rights to say what they did. The site is for developers to utilise and allow them to decert their phones while developing new applications. When ready they can submit them for certification and therefore allow them to be run on all Orange SPV's. However, as long as you accept liablility, anyone can use the site to remove the application signing lock from thier phones. :)
