hi,

i have problem, active sync is unable to synchonize with my phone. it started several days ago, when i tried to save my sms to outlook. i used "sms2email" program. i had about 400 sms in the inbox, never really bothered deleting it before. so after i loaded the program, "sms2email", my phone froze and i had to remove the battery to restart, then it informed me that i had very low storage space after restarting. before i used the program i had more than 1.5 mb left. i tried to sync with PC, but always fails, i've restarted both computer and phone. is there a workaround for this without doing a hard reset? i've uninstalled "sms2email".

thanks

What happens when it fails?

Also try this,

With the phone out of the cradle open Activsync go to FileDelete partnership

then plug the phone in the cradle then a new partnership should be created.

You should then be able to sync again.

when i sync, it just freezes at about 1/4 of the way and says synchronization cannot be completed. there are several files in IPSM that were not there before and i cannot delete them, i dont know why, i tried smart explorer and from the pc. these are the files cemail.vol, gcounterfile.mmf, mxip_initdb.vol, mxip_lang.vol - all in the main ipsm folder.

if i delete the partnership, will i be losing my back up in the computer? what if it doesn't work and i had to do a hard reset, can i still recover my files?

thanks for u patience.

What you back up will still be on the PC, but what files are you refering to?

Also when you say "still recover files" are you refering to files on the PC?

If you mean the phone then the answers no, as a Hard Reset wipes everything and the

IPSm gets rewritten from scratch.
