Guest Simon Desser Posted June 30, 2003 Report Posted June 30, 2003 Brilliant, thanks! By the way, I used my mobile to look up your link, and it fits perfectly on the screen. It's now been added to my favourites in my phone! Cheers!
Guest Big Ron - No Longer a Mem Posted June 30, 2003 Report Posted June 30, 2003 I was amazed to discover how few 156'ers knew what "RTFM" stands for. We got a LOT of RTFM calls. (It stands for "READ THE MANUAL"... I never did find out that the "F" stood for. Probably "Reproduction". Any student of animal behaviour will tell you that animal behaviour is usually motivated by "one of the four F's". That's Fighting, Fleeing, Feeding and Reproduction. )

Guest Big Ron - No Longer a Mem Posted July 1, 2003 Report Posted July 1, 2003 Neat. But doesn't do some of the MLA's justice - like the classic "RSN". ("Real Soon Now") best summed up with an example - "The SPV software upgrade is due RSN". (i.e. it'll be ready when we DECIDE it'll be ready, NOT when we TOLD you it'll be ready, but if we make soothing noises, maybe you'll just go away and stop BUGGING us about it." Quite a lot of meaning for three little letters...)
Guest mores Posted July 1, 2003 Report Posted July 1, 2003 I was amazed to discover how few 156'ers knew what "RTFM" stands for.allright, now what are 156'ers?

Guest Big Ron - No Longer a Mem Posted July 1, 2003 Report Posted July 1, 2003 "Go on Ron... Get another one locked !" Don't tempt me! I stumbled upon a site called "MsMobilePhones" a couple of days back. It's the Mobile Telecommunications equivalent of www.Taliban.com They have a VERY simple world view - "Microsoft is the supreme good, all others are scoundrels and liars" I clicked on the link to their forum... and found myself... back here on Modaco. Explains a lot. Are they biased, or is it just me? Well... the folks here report that the Tanager is basically an SPV with a better screen, casing and buttons. That would tend to imply that the basic "innards" are the same in both phones. So how is Sendo's allegation that they both infringe the same patent reported? "ALLEDGED similarities". Jeez. I bet these guys pray in VB6, facing towards Redmond. Microsoft CANNOT POSSIBLY BE IN THE WRONG.
