Guest goosegog Posted July 1, 2003 Report Posted July 1, 2003 Hi there helpful people! I have had my SPV since Cristmas and whilst dodging the flaws have enjoyed a relatively trouble free time with it. When I put the phone on it's cradle connected to my PC, AtiveSync would merrily synchronise emails and contacts on both devices hassle free. Then I went on holiday and since then (2 months now), whenever I put the phone on the cradle, it syncs then displays the following message: alert You have chosen to use ActiveSync to handle your email, therefore your IMAP/POP account has been disabled. Would you like to remove mail messages from the IMAP/POP account? Yes/No So I click No. Then when I use the SPV again and try to Send/Receive email I have to go Options/Email Set-up... alert You are currently synchronising your mail with ActiveSync. You must disable this from the desktop if you wish to use IMAP or POP to receive mail after finishing configuring the following options. Do you want to continue? Yes/No I click Yes and Next/Next etc... to re-set-up my email (It remembers all my settings Question - Can someone please tell me what option box I have to tick to put it back to the way it was before I went on holiday and how I get to said option box. Please? It's driving me round the twist. Gold star waiting for the correct answer  Many thanks Ferg
Guest broeren79 Posted July 1, 2003 Report Posted July 1, 2003 connect your spv to your pc. open active sync, go to options. there you see which items will be sync'd. check the box marked mail. from then on your mail will be sync'd each time you connect the phone to your pc. you can't send emails on th road anymore however.....
Guest goosegog Posted July 1, 2003 Report Posted July 1, 2003 Thanks but I have to be able to send email on the go
Guest Monolithix [MVP] Posted July 2, 2003 Report Posted July 2, 2003 When connected to AS, click the options button. One of the tabs is the folder selection area, unchcek the "inbox" tick box. You can not sync with your Outlook inbox ~and~ have wireless sync with your ISP's POP account, unfortunately.
