Guest bluekelt Posted July 2, 2003 Report Posted July 2, 2003 Hi, When I first got my Smartphone I installed Bust'em. I removed the game because I wanted to try out some other games but it has remained on the Add / Remove Programs list on both my phone and the ActiveSync lists. I have tried to re-install the game and it refuses to let me. Also there is no trace of it on my phone or my storage card. Does anybody know of a tweak that I can use to remove it from the list? Many thanks, Blue
Guest Monolithix [MVP] Posted July 2, 2003 Report Posted July 2, 2003 Tried removing its folder from IPSMWindowsAppMgr ? Check the install folder there too and remove anything to do with Bust'em.
Guest bluekelt Posted July 2, 2003 Report Posted July 2, 2003 Hi, Just checked that folder and there is nothing in there that relates to the game. As far as I can tell there is nothing on the phone that relates to it. Thanks for the suggestion though, Blue
Guest fozzie Posted July 2, 2003 Report Posted July 2, 2003 Have you tried Active Syncing the phone and then using the 'Remove' option from Active Sync's 'Add/Remove Programs' screen?
Guest bluekelt Posted July 2, 2003 Report Posted July 2, 2003 Hi, Yeah I've tried that. It just makes the add/remove programs box disappear and returns to the main activesync dialog box. Thanx, Blue
Guest Pinnacle Posted July 4, 2003 Report Posted July 4, 2003 Unfortunately, I can't offer a resolution to this problem; but I wanted to let you know the same thing has happened to me in the past with my SPV. I ended up doing a hard reset just to clear the phone up...that worked, but then you have to de-cert again. :)
Guest bluekelt Posted July 4, 2003 Report Posted July 4, 2003 Hi, I've been thinking about doing a hard reset. I have a new storage card coming in the next few days so have been uninstalling things ready to reinstall them on the new card. If no one is able to offer any help with this by the time I get the card then I'll more than likely do a hard reset just so that I can have a fresh start. Thanks, Blue
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted July 4, 2003 Report Posted July 4, 2003 Do you have the registry editor app? if so have a look around the registry and you should be able to find the entries for bustem, these shioyukd then be safe to remove. I have not got the time to find the enteries for you as I'm late for work sorry  If you need the registery app go to mono's site to download it :) www.monolithix.org
Guest bluekelt Posted July 4, 2003 Report Posted July 4, 2003 Hi, I found the entries. They are under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/Security/AppInstall/Digital Concepts Bust'em In there are three keys InstallDir, Role and Uninstall. I have tried removing the branch and the three keys individually but keep getting a message that says "Error Unable to perform this operation". Thanks for eveyrone's advice so far. It is greatly appreciated. Blue
