Guest Mr_Protozoa Posted July 2, 2003 Report Posted July 2, 2003 Ohhhh, java.... Is this for java apps of a component for IE?
Guest spacemonkey Posted July 2, 2003 Report Posted July 2, 2003 It's J2ME which is Mobile Java apps, the same stuff that runs on your symbian phones. I'm not actually sure that this will help users of the SPV though. Looking at Kada's site it looks very similar to other J2ME vendor sites I've looked at and so far all of these have not been interested in selling to end users.. their business model is to sell the J2ME virtual machine to hardware OEMs for inclusion in products. So unless HTC/Orange decided to purchase the JVM and add it to our handsets this probably wouldn't help. Mitac has already licensed a J2ME solution and this is included in the MIO handset.
