Guest Blakey Posted July 2, 2003 Report Posted July 2, 2003 Okay GPRS gurus, can you answer this? How much GPRS data does streaming audio (online radio) use? How much GPRS data does streaming video use? I'm trying to get a handle on the amount of GPRS I might use per month (and yes I know there's been a poll). Thanks in advance Blakey
Guest ajb3000 Posted July 2, 2003 Report Posted July 2, 2003 a lot, so much so that it is unable to sustain a continuous playback with constantly rebuffering.
Guest Monolithix [MVP] Posted July 2, 2003 Report Posted July 2, 2003 Depends on the bit rate of the streams you listen to. If its a 24kbit/s stream you're looking at 3kbytes a second, 180k/minute, etc....
Guest Blakey Posted July 2, 2003 Report Posted July 2, 2003 What bit rate does the SPV windows media player use when playing radio stations? (I assume it can do this?) Thanks Blakey
