More Spv probs....Grrr..

Can anyone help please...Ive suddenly discovered that when I press my volume button on the side of the SPV that regulates the speaker volume, nothing happens and the Icon and bar does not appear..How does one fix this :) .

Secondly and lastly does anyone have any louder wav's for talking clock as the ones I have in My menu/keypad come out very low whilst the Crystal one on the numeric keypad are nice and loud????

Any help , suggestions gratefully accepted....
