Guest emilet Posted July 4, 2003 Report Posted July 4, 2003  Before when I used Active sinc to copy files to the storage card on my SPV they were converted and copied. Now they are only copyed (the convert status line is grayed out), though it writes on the dialog box menu bar "coping & converting". Now when I listen to the music it hacks and some time stops for a good minute or two. Could some one help to solve the problem? I did reinstall Active sinc, but no way out. Emil
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted July 4, 2003 Report Posted July 4, 2003 In Activsync go to OptionsRules and choose Conversion Settings, then in the General tab check the Convert files box. Also if your music "hacks" etc it could be down to the compression ratio of the files.
Guest emilet Posted July 4, 2003 Report Posted July 4, 2003 Thank you Awarner, But the funny thing is when after your advice did I look at the file conversion settings, I did NOT find the .mp3 extenssion amongs the files to adjust settins for it . And I am sure the active sinc did convert it before. Any thoughts on that? Emil
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted July 4, 2003 Report Posted July 4, 2003 To be honest I have never noticed it convert mp3 files before either. I have to rush (late for work) but have a look at the compression of the files, I cant remember the settings off hand but if you have a look in the Articles section, if I remember rightly there is a walk through there.
