A BIG TROUBLE!

Hi, I'm italian SPV users, I've got this problem: I've buy 2 SPV, the first from Orange France has Italian Language in Regional Settings and this is OK, the second one from UK has NOT Italian language, only UK English, US English, Deutsch and France. I don't understand why. Do you think that's possible install Italian language on UK SPV.

Please help me....

this is the way the OS's were set up by Microsoft. English phone has Eng UK, Eng US, French and German, and the French phone has French, Italian and I think Spanish and Dutch (our european dev phone was sent back to client so i cant check)

This will be due to the territories that the phones are sold in - not many UK residents require Italian language options. And presumably limiting the regional options cuts down on install space on the phone.

I dont know whether there is a way to copy the OS over from one phone to another, or wehether this would cause any issues with the carrier in Italy. maybe there is someone more techinical that could help with that

You could try speaking with your local orange dealer, but as you bought it in the UK, its unlikely they will help.

I'm not sure but maybe you can edit an italian rom update so it runs on your SPV and after that you may havbe italian settings ..

Thanks, I've bought phones throw internet because in Italy this phones don't exist, only P800. I'm afraid to update ROM from UK to Franch, I'm afraid to danger irreversible my phone.

If anybody has some ideas please talk....

There shouldn't be any problem installing a ROM image from another country, download it and give it a blast. Worst case senerio you can always hard reset or reapply the latest UK update.
