Guest Simon Desser Posted March 19, 2003 Report Posted March 19, 2003 I've just found a brilliant feature of IA File Manager. You can "associate" different file types to open with specific applications, a bit like "open with" on Windows XP. :) Unfortunately, it doesn't seem to work ;) I don't know whether anyone else has had any luck with this?
Guest Simon Desser Posted March 20, 2003 Report Posted March 20, 2003 After a bit more playing, I've found that telling the Videos that were made with IA Camera, to open with IA Album doesn't work? However, telling jpg's to open with IA Album (instead of Internet Explorer) half works. Clicking on a jpg will now open up IA Album, but NOT the picture you clicked on, in fact the picture you click on might be in a totally different location to the folder that opens
Guest Syvwlch Posted March 20, 2003 Report Posted March 20, 2003 This reminds me of the Registry Tweaks discussion about associating txt files with NotBad. You can change the association, but the app does not open the file. I suspect the apps are not written to accept a file when called. Neh? Anyone who's actually coded for this platform should be able to blas that statement away, no? Or (gasp) confirm it?
