Can I add my Tasks to the homepage?

I'm using the boring yet ever so functional "Basic layout" for my homepage. I'd love to add my pending tasks to it. Does anyone know what code i'd need to add?

From what i've seen (IE: No task enabled homepages) i'd guess it isn't possible? I'm very suprised no one else seems to need it!

as far as i know the task application in Smartphone is not actually complete! for example try scrolling for a long task on the task page...

what i do is put my tasks in a all day events in calender so they stay on the display. it'd be nice to have a pocket pc style 'active tasks' plugin on the homescreen though!
