Please help , wav file and contacts

Could anyone tell me how to make a 5mb wav file into a smaller one so I can use it as a ringtone,

Also bought the phone second hand how do I get rid of all the old contacts without deleting one by one, there are bloody loads,

If you synchronize with Outlook on the PC, back-up your contacts in Outlook first, then sync, then delete ALL contacts in Outlook on the PC, then sync, then restore your backup and sync one last time.

This will leave your phone with only your contacts on it.

In general, mass tasks of contact management are better done on the PC, for obvious reasons.

Other methods exist, but require you to delete system files on the phone. If you're good enough to do that, you're good enough to search right? (ducks before the flames hit)

You would probably be able to shrink the ringtone slightly with Windows Media Encoder (free from microsoft.com ), but I suggest that you just get a smaller one, or cut it in Sound Recorder. What is it that you're trying to use?
