Guest mcwarre Posted March 20, 2003 Report Posted March 20, 2003 Ladies & Gents, The keyboard is £59.99 (inc VAT, delivery £4.21) at Ora if you phone them. On their website it is £49.99 (inc VAT, delivery £4.21). They have them in stock now. They are also taking orders for Car Kit (£149.99 inc VAT) and Simple Car Kit (£59.99). A cheaper alternate is to use a diskman to cassete tape adapter ( remember those? ~£5  ) with a headset adapter from PC Techs (~£10) and a charger from PDA Add Ons (eBay ~£8 ). Hey presto a car phone. It also allows you to play MP3s through your car stereo! Will try and add pictures when I get home. :)
Guest akarno Posted March 20, 2003 Report Posted March 20, 2003 Do you have thye URL for this. I had a quick look round the web site and could not find it.
Guest Simon Desser Posted March 20, 2003 Report Posted March 20, 2003 I've just ordered a keyboard from Ora but noticed it says this:- "This product requires updated ROM drivers etc from Orange - available April 1st." If this is true, I'm reluctant to update for fear of Orange re-certifying my phone!? Guest Pinnacle Posted March 20, 2003 Report Posted March 20, 2003 Do either of these distributors ship to the US? Anyone know?
Guest yatpeak Posted March 22, 2003 Report Posted March 22, 2003 If not, one'll be sold on Ebay within a few weeks no doubt. IF I get one, that's where I'll probably get mine, I might get a good deal on it too... Wyatt
Guest ragegames Posted March 23, 2003 Report Posted March 23, 2003 Cheapest car kit I've found is from Maplins, it includes the correct 2.5mm plug on one end, a cassette adapter, and a microphone and only cost about £8.50, not bad for MP3 playback an' all! Of course I'd prefer a fully-integrated bluetooth system, but at the price.... Peter
