Guest tomesy Posted March 21, 2003 Report Posted March 21, 2003 Alright All - I'm basing this judgement on the Spanish dictionary, so if the others are great, I apologise. However, I think the Spanish dictionary is very weak. I know it's less than £7, but some of the words that are missing is shocking. For example, "wheel" - rueda. Not in dictionary, there are many others. Also, the biggest problem is variations on words. For example, Running, instead of run, etc. If your trying to use it to help translate a word you dont know, for example, in a newspaper article - 9/10 times it wont know it (purely because it's a word variation, eg. past tense of a verb, etc. How many times is an article written using words in their infinitive form). Not very helpful. Anyway, I wrote this for two reasons - 1 for the benefit of others think of buying the dictionaries, and 2. in the hope they might improve this product. It's something I would find very useful, if it wasn't such a half hearted attempt.
