Guest omar_g Posted March 21, 2003 Report Posted March 21, 2003 Is it possible to force Internet Explorer to search for/display WML pages only? My O2 GPRS connection is for WAP only, as IE searches for HTML before WML I can't view very much.
Guest Syvwlch Posted March 22, 2003 Report Posted March 22, 2003 Yes, you can. You need to use an app called WebWapSelect. If you do a search for its name, you'll find a thread titled that, and containing a link to a french site where you can download it. It does exactly what you ask for, IOW let's you make IE behave as a WAP phone and ONLY see wml pages. Or as an iMode phone, or as a PC/PDA reading full HTML rather than an SPV. You're choice! What will you do with all that freedom? Attack Irak? er... sorry got carried away again.
Guest yatpeak Posted March 22, 2003 Report Posted March 22, 2003 If you put in WAP settings, wouldn't it only be able to access WAP? Or is this for connecting to WAP through a GPRS connection? Thanks, Wyatt
Guest Syvwlch Posted March 22, 2003 Report Posted March 22, 2003 You can connect to WAP, but certain websites share the same URL for their html and wml versions, and decide which to send based on device profile included in your request for the page This app allows you to change the SPV's device profile.
