????????? I'm sorry but I have a French version of the SPV and I can use THIS file. And others french users can do the same... so what's up? perhaps we don't have a same softwares/utilities package?

Anyway, I will try to extract this file from my SPV to mail it to you.

FYI: BatteryMonitor.exe is a full control board to check battery power level.

But it's very strange... because I can only found BatteryMonitor.exe when I make a search on the SPV by using ALL-Explorer. But if I make a search from my PC with ActiveSync I found only BatteryMonitor.lnk... the shortcut!

I propose to you to make a test:

- Create an ASCII file wich only contain the following string:

23#"WindowsBatteryMonitor.exe"

- Name the file as eg: BatteryMonitorTest.lnk

- Use ActiveSync to place the file on your SPV

- Launch the file from your SPV and then you will open the software...

Should be work :D

How accurate do you want you level read? Just go into the Power Management settings and it gives you a screen width bar

...but I cannnnnn't  trust me! All-Explorer refuse to copy this file. I tryed to change attributes, etc. but it's still impossible! I don't understand .

I repeat:

1) Launch All-Explorer

2) Go into smartphonewindows directory

3) Go to BatteryMonitor.exe (don't use the Find feature do this*)

4) Double-click on the file to launch it

5) After 2 or 3 seconds the monitor board will start

If you obtain the file after use the Find feature, it will refuse to be launch by a double-click. I don't know why, stange...

Try this method

You can see the battery level under Power Management (settings menu)

Yes, but BatteryMonitor.exe is completely another tool. You can measure the battery consumption in %.

Fear not!! I have the solution!

Go to All-Explorer, select SmartPhone (should be selected) Menu>File>Properties and there will be Power info. Battery status in %%%

sorry to drag this thread on and on but....how do i launch All Explorer, I can't see that listed...is it via active sync or just on SPV?

Noah, you need to have AllExplorer installed first.. It is on your Orange SD card (8MB Panasonic, blue, lol). Just stick the card in and it will start the installer, select allexl. and install it to your phone(!). It will appear under Programs menu.

Also, there is no batterymonitor on my SPV (100% sure), but I did a hard reset, so maybe that's what made it disappear.

All explorer is a share ware program that comes on the SD card when you buy the SPV. You have to install it on your spv to use this explorer program.

It's still there, right at the bottom of the page.

With Lycos you also have to turn off any privacy protection etc, and allow cookies. Also allow referring/referrers - lycos like to know where you are coming from !

After you have done all that - it should download ok !

Lycra,

This bm.zip is just a link!! It is a link to a file on your SPV:

WindowsbatteryMonitor.exe

So we would actually prefer to have the actual batteryMonitor.exe.. Though there might be a .dll to support it that is required too..

This is a 3rd Party App which you have to buy, sadly it's a must have if you're gonna fiddle with your SPV, great tool and well worth the £10 it costs.
