Hi!

As you can see, the site move has now been completed.

If you encounter any problems using the site at it's new location, please post them in this topic.

Thanks,

Hi Paul.

Curious issue I have spotted, but this may effect only me so would be interested to hear if anyone else experiences this, on the index page both IE6 and NS7 use 95%+ of my CPU!

I'm using Win2K at work - task manager gives the stats (ctrl+alt+delete ->task manager).

Once into the forums no problem - is this caused by the very nice snowflakes?

Very pleased to see the site back, finding it very addictive!

Hey, congrats on getting this most useful site back going.

In each forum I'm not getting numbers for older pages of topics.

Also whatever I search for even if I know it's there I get no search results.

Also, it's not automatically logging me in each time I visit (cookie problem?)

Keep up the good work

Monkey

PS Couldn't have been worse time for me. Got my phone. Got home and

ready to customise it and MoDaCo had gone. I was very worried.

OK, here are the issues I am working on at the moment:

- Cookies not being stored

- Topics not being correctly marked as read

- Search is not functioning.

I'll keep you updated!

Hi,

Yes it is the snow flakes.

I have it variation of them running on my forum and people have compained about high CPU.

It might help to provide an alternative SKIN for those of us you can't cope with the snow. :D

Glad your back BTW

Thanks

I'll look at doing that tonight (providing an alternative skin).

Or should I get rid of them altogether?

Glad the boards back online, well done Paul for getting it back up so quick.

A bug i noticed is that a few posts arent reporting that they have been posted in!

OK, update:

- Cookies now functioning correctly

- Topics now being correctly marked as read

- Search is now functioning

- Snow has gone

I think this is all outstanding issues, phew, what a couple of days!

All I need to do now is wait for the DNS to propogate...

Enjoy!

Thanks! :D

Good news - the DNS transfer has completed (for me at least), so things should be *really* back to normal!

Nice one Paul - think some of us were well lost there for a day or so lol.

A couple of points tho.. the little bit on the main page which says when i last visited the site is still stuck on the time and date of my last visit before the site went down even tho i have visited a few times tonight... and the other point is its still snowing on my pc hehe, not that i mind that at all but i read your post saying the snow had gone... this could be my pc tho maybe as its one of the earlier steam driven models and is held together by masking tape and string... anyways keep up the good work m8. :D

Glad to see you're back up and running.

It appears that "mark as read" isn't working properly for me though. Whether I read a specific thread or just mark the entire group as read, when I go back in they're still there.

Ditto, looks the DNS has got mangled somewhere along the line!

PAUL IS ANGRY!
