Guest Zack Posted December 11, 2002 Report Posted December 11, 2002 I've been trying to transfer tracks using the mobile device setting in the media player, it detects the phone but it shows that all files and SD card are 100% full, and consequently if I try to transfer stuff it says there is not enough space. I've also tried dragging and dropping stuff in Explorer, the stuff gets transferred but cannot be played as there is no licence agreement attached, and am told to try again using media player. Syncing is working fine. This feature is one of the main reasons I bought the phone, am I doing something wrong or is it broke?? Please help!! (need "quiet sobbing" smiley at this point)
Guest Bazz Posted December 11, 2002 Report Posted December 11, 2002 I just copied and pasted MP3 files in Windows Explorer. Never bother with all that media player nonsense... :D
Guest Zack Posted December 11, 2002 Report Posted December 11, 2002 Thanks, but tried that always told no licence with it so can't play it. :?
Guest westlake Posted December 12, 2002 Report Posted December 12, 2002 I have had exactly the same problem... memory 100% full so no copy. The way I managed to get some music on my SD card in the end was to copy to a CF card in a PCMCIA adapter in my laptop (rather usefully media player knows its for a portable device) so the transfer times are really quick, seconds. Then I transfer these files to my SD card in the phone. If you have a PCMCIA adapter for SD/MMC cards this would be the best solution and as with my CF card it will be really really quick. Even when you can copy directly to you portable device as with my ipaq I still use the PCMCIA card method as the speed difference is just too good not to use. Hope you have a PCMCIA slot!
