Welcome to the Site :)

Nice apps

I like the way the test app works, except the Vibration test did not work?

Also I tried opening an xml file in notepad to see what would happen and the app crashes :D

The overall look and feel are good ;)

Cheers

- Vibration API is called but it doesn't vibrate - it is fault of SPV. It should work according to documentation but no 3rd party application yet managed to vibrate the SPV - it is simply not working programmatically (if you know how to do it in C++ the send us info please). We cannot do anything about it, sorry.

- Please send the xml file upon which the program crashed to [email protected] and we will debug this problem swiftly. We apologize for temporary inconvenience.

No problem, I was just commenting on what I have found, thanks for the quick reply

the file was actually the mxip_oem_10.provxml found in the main windows

Folder. Like I said I was just testing a what would happen if somone opened... senario (as windows notepad can open it)

If you need the file if you do not have an SPV just pm me and I'll email it to you.

Thanks,

Wyatt

* write some text

* go with cursor to the start of selection

* go to menu and select "Selection mode"

* with cursor select what area of text that you want

* go to menu and select "Normal mode"

* now some are of text is selected and you can copy/paste it

Thanks, we have SPV and it is not crashing but just not opening the file. We are working on this problem as well as on more improvements of the application. The application opens many files in the SPV but it seems that there are some problems with read-only special files. We are working on it, thank you for noticing it.

If you would have found some errors or if you wish new features, then let us know here (use web form).

Nice app, there seems to be a bug with the "Recent" menu though, if there are no recent files and you attempt to go into the menu it hangs the application (but not the phone, the keypad and application had hung when i used remote zoomin to take the first screenshot below) and keypad a few seconds after. I've tested this and can recreate the problem, i get full functionallity up to a few seconds after i go into the recent menu.

The first time it hung the application i lost full funcitonality winthin the phone, the small line above "Recent" appears when i go "into" the menu, the second time it hung the app and keypad for a few minutes then "confused" the homescreen, however i did still have full funciotnality within the phone itself.

I hope this is of use to you.

This xml file from Windows directory that you mentioned cannot be opened from within smartphone by other applications too - it simply doesn't work. We don't know how to solve this problem. (all other files from storage card and from "my documents" open correctly though)

But we have implemented font size selection:

... so now you can even use very small fonts for reading/writing.

Cut and paste with the action button would be cool

Yeah - am playing with this too - very nice indeed...

(had to re-name the file as a .jpg and email it to myself to install it on the phone - no cradle at the moment! :) )

All we need now is colour tex for the xml ;)

Seriously though, a nice bit of work.

Cheers!

Heres a minor bug:...

When entering text and then exiting the app prior to saving, I am asked if I want to save changes and am presented with the 3 boxes: Yes, No, Cancel.

The highlighting of each of these is very hard to see - I cant see which option I have selected.

We can improve it, but if you could give us some example how it should look like to be better visible to us then it would be useful. MS Smartphone has 2 soft-keys and no 3 choice message boxes so some solution is needed. Maybe our solution is not the best one...

You could you do down the more basic line and just ask something like:

"File not saved. Exit anyway?"

Yes | No

And just rely on the user to know how to save it themselves, should they select "No". It would fit better into the two soft-keys environment I think.

Or, you could operate a third key via the back button (e.g. cancel in your current app), but that could be confusing and not very apparent to the user.

Orneta...

Perhaps some sort of heavy highlighting around the edges of each box when they are selected?

Alternatively, Fraser's suggestion above would be fine too.

Cheers, and thanks for app - vy nice indeed.
