Guest Ross_Curtis Posted December 11, 2002 Report Posted December 11, 2002 [Edited by Site Admin, thanks for the submission Ross_Curtis!] SYMPTOM: Quite often I'd say daily when I end a call the phone locks on the end call screen, you are able to navigate that screen but you cant leave it and or return to the home screen. The only way to fix it is to remove the battery, when it powers up it loads with the phone keypad locked (like it was prior to the call) RESOLUTION: None Known
Guest dbrook Posted December 13, 2002 Report Posted December 13, 2002 I had the same problem at times with my first two handsets....on 3rd now....first two went back due to screen and hardware faults....never mind the software!!
Guest chewie Posted December 16, 2002 Report Posted December 16, 2002 hehe, on saturday night i got a call and after ending the call my phone did exactley the same, then something weird happned, i was just about to takle the battery out and the screen went white, then returned to the "call progress screen" where it was stuck but it had changed the actuall contact! Then it flickered again and the "call progress" screen went all crazy and instead of displaying the contact e.g John Doe Call time... It had Firstname (Surname) Call time! It was sooo wierd, rebooted the phone and everything was fine!
Guest barncourt Posted December 22, 2002 Report Posted December 22, 2002 Quite often I'd say daily when I end a call the phone locks on the end call screen, you are able to navigate that screen but you cant leave it and or return to the home screen. The only way to fix it is to remove the battery, when it powers up it loads with the phone keypad locked (like it was prior to the call) I thought mine was locking up initially. However, what appears to happen is that it pauses for a considerable time after you press the hangup key. If you wait approx 5 secs, it should return to the home page of its own accord. What does seem to get screwed up though is if you try and force it back to the home screen within the 5 second window - then it freezes. You can tell if you've successfully terminated the call cos the online time stops counting and I think the font greys out slightly. Try it again and see if it returns of its own accord..
Guest Normix Posted March 19, 2003 Report Posted March 19, 2003 My first handset used to do it only when one of my friends (also on orange) used to call. Orange, needless to say, could offer no help, nor did their fabulous tech department get back to me ever. My new handset hasn't done it once yet. Its got heaps of other pishy wee things though. Technology eh? :?
