Guest theodotcom Posted March 23, 2003 Report Posted March 23, 2003 When recieving a call and ending it the call status stays on the screen and i have to turn off the keylock press the back or home button then turn the keylock back on, is there anyway to go back to the home screen automatically after a call? This is so annoying My old nokia showed the display for 5 seconds then reverted to the main screen, Thanks
Guest Monolithix [MVP] Posted March 23, 2003 Report Posted March 23, 2003 No documented way unfortunately, unless you set your homescreen timeout to something other than "Never". I did notice the other day however that by (accidentally) pressing back immediately after end call, it was taken back to my homescreen, which would imply that there is a fraction of a second immediately after ending a call where the keyboard is not locked. I haven't been able to test this fully though...
Guest Chris b.a.r.f. Posted March 23, 2003 Report Posted March 23, 2003 This has to be one of the most annoying things about the SPV - along with the fact that one has to press [Done] after changing the earpiece volume. Why?
Guest Chris b.a.r.f. Posted March 23, 2003 Report Posted March 23, 2003 Chris, i didnt have that problem You don't? Weird, I have it every time....anybody else?
Guest amo Posted March 23, 2003 Report Posted March 23, 2003 Just tried pressing it again, and it automatically goes away after a few secs...
Guest Monolithix [MVP] Posted March 23, 2003 Report Posted March 23, 2003 Nope, change it and it times out after a few seconds (saves state as well)
Guest pete1312 Posted March 23, 2003 Report Posted March 23, 2003 "Done" comes up as a softkey option every time I change volume, but I just ignore it. Phone reverts back to Home screen after a couple of seconds, leaving the volume as set, without needing to accept "Done".
Guest Chris b.a.r.f. Posted March 23, 2003 Report Posted March 23, 2003 Strange. I've got my homescreen timeout set to 30 secs., but no matter how long I leave the phone at the volume screen it stays there. Just another "personal" bug on my phone? Sounds like it :)
Guest Monolithix [MVP] Posted March 23, 2003 Report Posted March 23, 2003 Tried setting timeout to never? That's what mines set to do...
Guest Chris b.a.r.f. Posted March 23, 2003 Report Posted March 23, 2003 Will give it a shot, cheers mono. Edit: Nice one dude, it works. Still a problem if I set the homescreen timeout to anything other than "never" but it's better this way. Cheers mono :)
Guest casper508 Posted March 24, 2003 Report Posted March 24, 2003 Mines set to NEVER and it goes back to home within 2-3 secs. Cas
