Phone Book Messed Up

i have recently run the ocr setup on my phone to make all my numbers +44 xxx xxxx however i have noticed that now my numbers on my sim card are all messed up for eg: name wil be t[] , * - ........and i dont know who there supposed to be...this happens when i wana send a txt was wounderin if anyone could help... if i delete the numbers of my sim and then put them back on from my phone it works ok for a while but then after i sync it goes al pete tong wrong...
