MISSING INFARED COVER

Can anyone assist as I am getting no where with the company I got my phone from - whilst I was out this weekend at some time the cover for my infared has come off and I dont know where it fell off - I have tried orange who cant help, they say it isnt covered under my insurance - and the company I bought the phone off say it is wear and tear - althought I have only had my SPV for 2 months.

Does any company stock spare bits from the phone, I would of thought it was up to the supplier of my phone to find me one - or replace my phone

Your phone should be covered under the Manufacturer Warrnty, unless it "came off" when you dropped it.

I'd be more insistant :)

Yup, gotta agree with Richie M. Companies will always try and fob you off to save a bit of money.

Happened to me too, just ring up Orange and say that your phone keeps on crashing, they'll send you a new one ;-)

Is that the infrared cover as in the bit of plastic that protects it? (the built in piece, not the flimsy piece stuck on to protect it from fingerprints.)

I would think he is talking about the the actual lens cover

not the piece of protective film that is only used as protection

in the shipping of the phone to avoid scratching :roll:

Why would any one say they have lost the packaging film :)

I guess I wasn't thinking straight. I was thinking more along the lines of "How could a lump of plastic just fall off."
