Guest Goutetsuu Posted March 24, 2003 Report Posted March 24, 2003 Can the SPV play mov files, which are quicktime i believe, if so what tool/program do you need, if not, why the hell not?!!
Guest Bazz Posted March 24, 2003 Report Posted March 24, 2003 Nope - cynics would say cause that's an Apple format and Smartphone is a Microsoft OS.
Guest Vector Posted March 24, 2003 Report Posted March 24, 2003 Can you get any programs to convert from mov to say mpeg :?:
Guest ajb3000 Posted March 24, 2003 Report Posted March 24, 2003 Quicktime Player can convert .mov files to other formats, just open the .mov file, then choose file, export, choose a format and save.

Guest pisquee Posted March 24, 2003 Report Posted March 24, 2003 What version of quicktime player have you got? I'm using version 6 and have no option to save/export files.
Guest ajb3000 Posted March 24, 2003 Report Posted March 24, 2003 I have version 6, when installing it gives a list of options as to what components you want to install, it may be thet you didn't select all of those. You may have to reinstall Quictime and choose Full Installation. Alternatively it may be because I have Quicktime Pro and not the Free one. Have a look at Apples site and see what it says about exporting to other formats.
Guest alanclose Posted March 27, 2003 Report Posted March 27, 2003 Can you get any programs to convert from mov to say mpeg :?:  http://www.dvdrhelp.com/mov2avi.htm Free ware will convert to AVI and then MS encoder will convert to WMV for playback on the SPV Or try this http://www.tmpgenc.net/e_main.html
Guest Simon Desser Posted March 27, 2003 Report Posted March 27, 2003 Don't you need the "full" costed version of Quicktime Pro to save and export, not just the free player?
Guest fraser Posted March 27, 2003 Report Posted March 27, 2003 Yes, you need the full version. A bit shitty, because you need to pay for a product you don't want, just to convert the media away from a format you don't want. Quicktime? Argh, it sucks, doesn't do full screen and the player UI is really bad.
Guest ClintEastman Posted March 27, 2003 Report Posted March 27, 2003 The one i use is RAD Video Tools. www.radgametools.com (Links down at the mo) PS. This is what i used for my trailers.
