Guest Dabro Posted December 11, 2002 Report Posted December 11, 2002 [Edited by Site Admin, thanks for the submission Dabro!] SYMPTOM: Dunno if anyone else has encountered this, but I have a bit of a problem deleting my MMS messages. Seems to take two or three tries and every time it just freezes on the current message. I can get back to the homepage and other applications but whenever i re-enter the inbox it still shows the MMS message i tried to delete for a while. Eventually, it all goes back to normal, but it's frustrating when you're trying to check or send other messages. :( RESOLUTION: Be patient :D
Guest captain9fingers Posted December 21, 2002 Report Posted December 21, 2002 I had a similar problem where I had sent a MMS and then I got a reciept for it, I went to delete the reciept and my Inbox/SMS locked up I could get back to the homescreen and do other phone functions but when I went back to my Inbox/SMS the reciept was still displayed what ever option I chose from the inbox menu still kept the reciept on the screen, I ended up turning the phone off and on again and that seemed to clear it.
Guest Wildfire Posted December 23, 2002 Report Posted December 23, 2002 I have had the same problem with deleting MMS's, i tried about 15 times and it would not delete, but i knew the handset had not locked up as it allowed me to continue to try and delete it. I even tried coming out of the inbox and going back in, the mms was still displayed there. After about 5 mins it decided to delete it from the handset. Regards Wildfire
Guest Dabro Posted November 22, 2003 Report Posted November 22, 2003  OK, i found a bit of a workaround for this. Instead of deleting the MMS when you're reading it, go back to your inbox list, simply highlight the message (don't click the action button to open it) then press "menu" and select delete. This way the MMS seems to be deleted right away without leaving you stuck in the messge for ages.
Guest SPVDave Posted December 24, 2003 Report Posted December 24, 2003 If you get stuck do the following: Go back to the home screen and then back into Inbox. I know it shows you the message again, but the phone is actually back in the inbox. Then press the left function key ("New") and then the action button ("Message"), then just cancel the composing of the message in the menu. An easier way, providing you have another message in the inbox is open that message, by scrolling to it and hit the action button to open it, of course you can't see what your doing because the MMS message is blocking what you are doing.
