Guest (MDS) Posted December 12, 2002 Report Posted December 12, 2002 damn.... screw the spv, i am getting this baby...
Guest Ste Posted December 12, 2002 Report Posted December 12, 2002 Wow. Like it very much. Packed full of features and packed tight too. Just makes you think what type of phone is going to be next.
Guest (MDS) Posted December 12, 2002 Report Posted December 12, 2002 wait, but does it have a built in mic?? i mean, can you put it against you head and talk just like on a regular phone... or do you have to use some kind of headphones... :?:
Guest Funkyberry Posted December 12, 2002 Report Posted December 12, 2002 Hi there... No no... I guess your Swedish translators can't be working properly! The Neonode has a special add-in module called the Nuralnode. This is the new style replacements for microphones, and it actually senses what your about to say. (i.e. you have nurons in your brain, and it senses those when you put it to your head, thus some very bright chappy thought to call it - the Nuralnode!! dur!) It wasn't in the first design as this technology has only just been declassified. I'm only dissapointed that it didn't apear anywhere on the Time 2002 best inventions (http://www.time.com/time/2002/inventions/toc.html). Why have Aerogel on there, but not Nuralnode?! They must have known about it... although I have to confess I only knew about it about 2 weeks ago, and I've been doing this 3G project for the last 3 months, looking at all latest mobile technology. The real challenge, and part of the reason they delayed release, was actually producing the nural technology to the right technical quality, but at the right price! Afterall, who would pay upwards on £400 a module, when normal mic's cost practically nothing!! I would say that the Nuralnode, along with the 200k+ colour screen and media capability, will make this one of the most sucessfull phones in Sweden - lets just hope they realease it outside Sweden, and bring this revolutionary technology to the rest of the world! -funkyberry-
Guest Izziwizzi Posted December 12, 2002 Report Posted December 12, 2002 What a hideous design
Guest Funkyberry Posted December 12, 2002 Report Posted December 12, 2002 Hi there... Does anyone know who those girls are in the photo above? If you do could you email me their phone number? Many thanks.. -funkyberry-
Guest Posted December 31, 2002 Report Posted December 31, 2002 Hey funkyberry, could you tell me where I can find more information on Nuralnode technology - it sounds like "next-level" sh1t! I checked out the Neonode website, but to be honest it's a bit light on tech specs.
Guest th0mz Posted December 31, 2002 Report Posted December 31, 2002 Am I the only one who finds the neonode ugly and cheapish looking?
Guest sebset Posted January 8, 2003 Report Posted January 8, 2003 New pics of the N1 seen on neonode forum! ciao
Guest Monolithix [MVP] Posted January 8, 2003 Report Posted January 8, 2003 hmm, only 96mhz cpu, only dual band, no standard os so neither ppc or sp2k2 apps are likely to work properly...only good features are the touchscreen and tv remote application it seems...
Guest Funkyberry Posted January 8, 2003 Report Posted January 8, 2003 Hi there.. Ok I belive its real now... I just have to see it in real life now! -funkyberry-
Guest sebset Posted January 8, 2003 Report Posted January 8, 2003 Another video of the N1! :D Start realplayer and jump to 6:50 http://www.tv4.se/~lib/videolink.asp?filen...name=tv4sthlm18 Look at all the video and especially the end. Then you will see the N1 in action. Enjoy! cu
Guest maxol18 Posted January 29, 2003 Report Posted January 29, 2003 A new website that talks about that phone http://membres.lycos.fr/neodonemob
Guest sebset Posted February 7, 2003 Report Posted February 7, 2003 http://www.mobil.se/nyheter/visa.asp?id=6255&sid=1 The production of Neonodes cellphone N1 has begun in Årjäng, Sweden. The swedish company Neonode has began a cooperation with Elekromekan. And the production of Neonode N1 is allready in progress in Årjäng. - They are a good manufacturer and we wanted to work with someone swedish, near us self to get everythink work as smoothly as possible, says Magnus Goertz, founder of Neonode. The thought is that Elektromekan shall produce 30 000 units / month of the N1. And according to Magnus there allready are 10 000 preorders of the cellphone. The first units will emerge in stores sometime during the spring.
Guest TooMuch2AM Posted February 7, 2003 Report Posted February 7, 2003 Good god! According to: http://membres.lycos.fr/neodonemob/mobiles.../neonode_n1.php The N1 can play TEN HOURS of MP3's on one charge - I'm lucky if I get 10 hours standby on my SPV!
Guest sebset Posted February 7, 2003 Report Posted February 7, 2003 official factsheet: http://www.neonode.com/pdf/n1_infopdfv1.pdf
Guest Pidder Posted February 7, 2003 Report Posted February 7, 2003 Am I the only one who finds the neonode ugly and cheapish looking? No, you are not  I think this is not the phone to replace my spv. The only advantage imho is the touchscreen :)
Guest yatpeak Posted February 8, 2003 Report Posted February 8, 2003 I think the SPV looks much better, plus, I think that it's too small, I'd be constantly losing it. Also, how do you enter the numbers when making a call? Anything other than a keypad is just too complicated imho. Wyatt
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted February 8, 2003 Report Posted February 8, 2003 I'd still like to give one a go. Does any one know what the price is likely to be?
