Guest Shire29 Posted December 13, 2002 Report Posted December 13, 2002 Great phone just one thing left to resolve. Access to Power Management settings. when I try to access the power management settings I get error mesage "The settings could not be opened" I phoned Orange and they do not know what the problem is ? so they offered me a replacement. Now this is tempting, however, now that the phone is running as I want it, I don't want to exchange for another handset with potentially a different problem. Voices in head - GET TO THE POINT!!!!! Question What exactly does the power management settings do ? Can it alter the time the main back light stays on ? This would be really useful for watching movies etc cus it's a real pain when the light goes out ? Lastly can it make any difference to the life of the battery ? Cheers, Shire
Guest Rog Posted December 13, 2002 Report Posted December 13, 2002 Hi Shire. 1. Graphical representation of battery charge (solid bar in side box - could describe the colour but you may have a different theme to me!). 2. Backlight timeout never/5 seconds/10 seconds/15 seconds/30 seconds/60 seconds - doesn't seem to make any difference any way! 3. Screen saver mode none/turn off. Could do some photo's if it helps you overcome your derivation!! I'd wait until the stock is sorted out, then get it replaced. By then you'll be a whizz at configuring it and you'll get an SPVII !! :D
