Guest nigelkwan Posted December 13, 2002 Report Posted December 13, 2002 Just a note to moan some more! I've only had the SPV 3 weeks and already there is an annoying amount of dust under screen. Really annoying when watching films on WMP. On top of that, when i've carried the phone in my pocket on a couple of night out, the paints worn slightly off the edges, surely it hsould be a bit more hardy than that! Any way used CPW 14 day exchange policy, so am awaiting a replacement, might try and use a case this time, heard the nokia 3210 fits, havent tried yet though.
Guest th0mz Posted December 13, 2002 Report Posted December 13, 2002 i had a few dust corns rigt from the day i bought it..... seems to be alot more irritating in day light then when using the spv in darker areas (well, *logic* :D).... also have a few small scratshes on the screen from when i dropped it in the toilet, not a biggie tho. dude, we just need a way to open the phone and the dust can be removed with ease. as for the scratches, a special fluid can be bought to remove marks from glass and the likes, should work fine... it "enters" the scratches, dries and works as a kind of camouflage. and it's inexpensive. if it irritates you, maybe you should try that!
Guest xanadu Posted December 13, 2002 Report Posted December 13, 2002 T o remove scratches from any phone display, use Displex. http://www.displex.de/ I have used it, and it works great.
Guest artax Posted December 15, 2002 Report Posted December 15, 2002 I too have dust under my screen, the Ipaqs suffered from this as well. The dust appeared after I had the phone for a day after I replaced the first one as it had dust. I think the people that make the Ipaqs/SPV need to sort their plant out. I'll probably return it at some point but I think I need to wait till they get their act together first. Dave
