Guest Julian Posted December 13, 2002 Report Posted December 13, 2002 Hi, I am rather confused about phone number formats in Outlook. A UK number ends up as +44 (01234) 567890 - This wont dial out from the phone. With the Int access code, it needs to be +44 1234 567890 - no () or 0, How to I get Outlook to put numbers in this format (assuming that I am correct!), so that I can dial in any country without having to edit numbers? Many Thanks, Julian :?:

The correct format is +44 123456789 Just remove the zero from the local code and add +44 this will allow you to dial contacts from any country you call from.
Guest Julian Posted December 13, 2002 Report Posted December 13, 2002 If you type 01324 567890 into an Outlook Contact, it automatically puts it as +44 (01234) 567890. Is there a "feature" in Outlook (2000) to get it to (by default) save numbers in the format +44 (1327) 567890 or +44 1327 567890 (whichever is correct)? Does the area code in dialling properties need to be set to 1234 rather than 01234? Thanks, Julian
Guest madu Posted December 13, 2002 Report Posted December 13, 2002 I don't think you want Outlook to do anything automatically - don't be lazy and type it in +44 format straight away.. or end up getting an odd one F****D up
