Guest spv_dman Posted July 6, 2003 Report Posted July 6, 2003 I've tried that new software upgrade from smart website and it ruined my exising SAP OS. After it reads through your phone's identification, it goes to the bootloader screen and returns an error: "Could not retrieve the identify of your phone" or something like that. I tried reinstalling it but it gives me the same error over and over again. Right now im using ORANGE's OS on my SAP just to make it operate for the meantime, I'll probably bring to SMART to have the prior OS version installed... grrr. Guys, anyone of you still have the previous software upgrade SAP_137.zip? Need it badly. I think this can reinstate the phone's previous OS. Please post a site where I can get it. Thanks.
Guest tutut17 Posted July 6, 2003 Report Posted July 6, 2003 same thing happened to me, brought my SAP imediately to Brightpoint, they restored my previous ROM after 1 hour.
Guest ejoya Posted July 6, 2003 Report Posted July 6, 2003 just use another pc for updating your sap.. install it in the 3 color canary mode.. or delete the files from c:program filesruu restart your pc, then reinstall the update.. your sap must be on the 3 color canary mode when updating and not on the boot loader or anywhere...
