Guest ajb3000 Posted July 7, 2003 Report Posted July 7, 2003 I had the passanger window smashed, the windscreen chipped, the paintwork scratched and my CD Player and CDs stolen out the glove box on saturday night :). I've already got the window fixed, but here are some pics of the paintwork and windscreen (which won't be fixed until I get back from holiday due to lack of money)Car 005.jpgCar 006.jpgCar 004.jpgCar 003.jpgCar 002.jpg
Guest casper508 Posted July 7, 2003 Report Posted July 7, 2003 OUTCH !!! Sorry to hear that Adam. :) I have had a very similar experience not so long ago so I know how u feel. Cas
Guest nickcornaglia Posted July 7, 2003 Report Posted July 7, 2003 Very sorry to hear that. :) That stinks. Do you have any enemies? Becasue that doesn't seem like common theivery to me. Looks like someone doesn't like you. I could see them breking in and stealing the CD player & CDs. But to scratch up the rest seems like some dislike was involved. Either that or they were taking their life's troubles out on your car.
Guest ajb3000 Posted July 7, 2003 Report Posted July 7, 2003 ok, heres the story: I went to a friends house party on saturday night, and as they are all a year or two below me I was the only one who could drive, hence mine was the only car parked on the drive. At about 11 o clock at night 15 people tried to gatecrash, of which 10 got in by going round the back way. We managed to get them out, at which point they started shouting abuse at us. They then threw a brick at and broke 2 house windows and did that to my car.
Guest nickcornaglia Posted July 7, 2003 Report Posted July 7, 2003 Case solved! (I should have been a cop!) Doesn't make the damage any better though. If it were me...I would have preferred it had been random. This way there was no one person to be mad at. What are you going to do?
Guest ajb3000 Posted July 7, 2003 Report Posted July 7, 2003 eermm... i'm going to get it fixed... lol, will have to wait til i have some money tho as im only insured third party :) theres not much i can do about the people, we rang the police but they couldn't really do anything because by the time they got there the vandels had left, and no-one knew who they were. they must have just heard there was a party on or something and decided to gatcrash.
Guest JabbaTheSlut Posted July 7, 2003 Report Posted July 7, 2003 i had that done to my car while i was away too, but they wrecked it, i'm gutted, its so pathetic when people feel they can do that PS Placebo fan are we ajb?! i saw them a few months ago in notts, amazing band
Guest ajb3000 Posted July 7, 2003 Report Posted July 7, 2003 PS Placebo fan are we ajb?! i saw them a few months ago in notts, amazing band heh, yep, haven't seen them yet tho, next time they come to the uk...
Guest Simon Desser Posted July 7, 2003 Report Posted July 7, 2003 Adam, sorry to see what happened to your car. "Placebo - I'll be yours" ringtone here for you :)
Guest Maverick Posted July 8, 2003 Report Posted July 8, 2003 Maybe u could have taken a picture of them with ur SPV ...
Guest ajb3000 Posted July 10, 2003 Report Posted July 10, 2003 "Placebo - I'll be yours" ringtone here for you :) Nice! Thanks. As for taking a pic, firstly I didn't have my SPV cam on me, and secondly it was very dark outside.
Guest MECX Posted July 12, 2003 Report Posted July 12, 2003 total bastards!!! :x is it a punto?? (just a guess)
Guest Big Ron - No Longer a Mem Posted July 12, 2003 Report Posted July 12, 2003 We were away for two days earlier this week... and left the car parked outside the house (in a private road) Came back to find a HUGE dent in the back. The neighbours had been taking a wardrobe to the tip in a borrowed van... and as they tried to haul it through the rear doors, the wind caught it. Went sailing through the air and landed on the boot of my wife's pride and joy, before hitting the ground and turning into a flatpack. (It was a lot easier to get into the van after that, they said!) Really kind of embarassed - they're paying for the panel beating and respray. Which is kind of handy, as my wife had already put a couple of scratches on the rear wing - they're getting resprayed for free.
Guest HelloDave Posted July 14, 2003 Report Posted July 14, 2003 Absolute scum - sorry to hear about it Adam. Why some sad g*ts have to do this is beyond me; why they can't just get a life instead I don't know. I want one of those Talon riot control vehicles that was on eBay recently (and also on Top Gear) - 11000v electrified bodywork and a water cannon. Mmmmm :)
Guest mores Posted July 14, 2003 Report Posted July 14, 2003 i had people draw swasticas on my motorbike's mirrors and graffiti my girlfriend's car's left mirror (why always the mirror? and why did the graffiti color match the color of the car?). it really hurt me, i don't know how to describe it, but i felt really helpless. and i realized that the people who do such things have no idea what it is like to own something, what it means to work for your posessions, what it's like to grow attached to things. if i ever catch someone do that again, i think i'll chase them with my baseball bat !!
Guest fraser Posted July 17, 2003 Report Posted July 17, 2003 Find out who it was and break their legs. I know that's my solution to anything involving little troublemakers like these, but it works. It's the only language they understand, the police are powerless anyway. If you threaten to firebomb their house later while doing the deed, they won't be bothering you again.
