Guest cybercamel Posted July 7, 2003 Report Posted July 7, 2003 Anyone read the article in the Daily Telegraph today about ringtones. Apparently the British Library are offering mobile telecommunication companies the pick of it's 100,000 recordings of animal and bird noises, this is to change our ringtones from the current horrible tones to something more acceptable to the listener! Anyway the reporter supposedly used an SPV to test these ringtones and, as usual, got the description horribly wrong. Apparently it's not out until September, it supports polyphonic ringtones and is so new it had to be assigned with it's own bodyguard! So what's the phone that's she using, it's certainly not the SPV, I've not seen the tanager, but the one she's holding has a black case and a silver front. Is it the new SPV? To read the story and see the photo you have to go here Unfortunately you have to register and the photo isn't all that good. It would be easier to try and get todays paper, the photo is much larger!

Guest cybercamel Posted July 7, 2003 Report Posted July 7, 2003 Does this mean it will be out in September?
Guest Paul [MVP] Posted July 7, 2003 Report Posted July 7, 2003 That fits with what I posted in my SPV2 / HTC Voyager article... Q4 2003. P
Guest Gorskar Posted July 7, 2003 Report Posted July 7, 2003 Any chance of a scan of the Newspaper picture - I cant really see any detail of the phone at all in the web pic - could be the first actual pic of the SPV2
