Checkpoint Secure Remote software issue

Hi

I have a QTEK 7070 phone and have tried to install the checkpoint secureremote client for Pocket PC which says in its blurb that it supports the smartphone. When I have installed it onto the phone the phone has come back to say the files are corrupt.

i have read another post to the forum which says the checkpoint software may be uncertified so I have tried to unlock my phone. I have tried the Orange web site in the UK as well as various posts in the forum without success. I have emailled Orange who of course stated that the phone was not theirs so they could not help.

I have enabled GPRS through AAPT / Vodafone in Australia and can browse the internet.

Can anyone help in regards to the checkpoint client as well as how to unlock my phone.

Thanks

Thanks

However I have tried to enable the pass through setting on Active Sync, restarted my phone and my PC, reinstalled Active Register and it still says the program is not running. Additionally it only gives me the ability to put my mobile phone number in, not the IMEI number although the option is there I just can't get to it.

I can't browse the internet from my phone when the pass through is enabled, maybe the setting is incorrect on my phone but i can't seem to find where pass through is configured on my phone.

Any help appreciated.

Thanks

The connections is set on Settings > Data Connections

On that screen you can set what options to use, and if you press menu- edit connections you can change the access numbers etc.

Note that under the current security model there is no way for an application to get the IMEI number without a trusted certificate. Although the security setup on the 7070 allows apps without a trusted certificate to run it most likely wont give them access to privaleged parts of the phone.

I'm using a unlocked Orange SPV Phone, and i have tried installing the Checkpoint client on my phone.

I get exactly the same error.

It does look like it wasn't designed for the Smartphone OS.

Has anyone actually had any joy with installing it ?

Thanks
